Background

Jo has been immersed in the beauty and makeup industry for almost 16 years now. She originally trained as an aesthetician in 2002 where she obtained distinctions in every aspect of the course. She has full CIDESCO ITEC and CIBTAC qualifications.

She later went onto specialize solely in Makeup which has always been her passion.

After completing an intense makeup course she went straight into work for MAC Cosmetics, which was the no1 make up brand in Ireland at the time.

During her time in MAC she qualified for the Mac events team, where she was regularly sent out to shoots, fashion shows and editioral work for the company.

She worked with Mac for a decade, until she then decided to go it alone as a freelance artist as she was so busy with her own personal business.

Jo is now a multi-award winning make up artist since going self-employed almost two years ago. She has been nominated for many awards and has won ‘Makeup Artist of the year’ on two separate occasions.

She has worked on people such as Gay Byrne, Glenda Gilson, Pippa Ormond O’Connor, Rosanna Davidson, Roz Purcell and Dr.Eva …. to name a few!

Her work has appeared in Magazines such as;
Life Mag, The Irish Wedding Planner, Image magazine, Confetti,  The Independent, The Irish Daily Mail, The Herald and Times newspapers.

She has also worked on shows and advertisements for TV3 and RTE.
