Hey Jo! Rather than just post tonnes of meaningless text here for you to see what the page was like with content, i thought i’d use it as a place to talk about how writing blogs [however short] will be of benefit to you.
One of the main reasons to have a blog is because of how SEO [search engine optimisation] works. A lot of websites [say bars or services] tend to be made once and never updated/modified – this is bad for SEO as google looks for activity on the website to show that it’s still alive and kicking. A site that never has new content tends to slip down the google search results month on month. On the other hand, if you have a somewhat static business but want to ensure you stay high in search results, a blog is a great way to achieve that.
In your case, you could write a one-paragraph blog once a week on say ‘top 10 favourite eyeliners’ or whatever and you’d be well set. These blogs don’t have to be long investigative pieces, just a paragraph or two will more than suffice. It’ll help your ranking and could even build you a nice niche audience. Also, because you’d have something to share on your social media channels, it’s a nice way of getting people over to your website time and time again without just asking them flat out to check out your site.
